DO THE RIGHT TING!

Although The Bahamas is making some steps in the direction of “national integrity” - mainly in the areas of freedom of information, there is a lack of political will to push the anti-corruption agenda, coupled with a general disaffection on behalf of the public.

What is needed is a change from a “culture of corruption” to a “culture of integrity.” But what does this mean and how do we get there? To promote bottom-up change, we need to focus on the individual. Supported by the US Embassy in The Bahamas, “Do The Right Ting” aimed to show Bahamians that they were part of an everyday problem, and how “doing the right thing, even when nobody’s watching” (C.S Lewis) was the best way forward for everyone.
